This exceptional organic dark-milk chocolate is made with rare Amelonado cocoa beans grown by a pioneering women’s cooperative in Eastern Congo. These extraordinary women farmers, survivors of a war-torn and expoilted country, are actively regenerating their forests, planting and nurturing thousands of native trees, healing their environment, and re-building their communities.
The milk for this chocolate is sourced from Swiss Brown cows that graze in small herds in lush mountain pastures.
The cane sugar is raw and unrefined.Â

These ‘Femme de Virunga’ are the world’s first female cocoa cooperative, and the source of the beans for all our dark-milk chocolates.
